Barley Grass Powder is an absolute must have Supplement for anyone who knows anything about Alkalinity and the body.  If you’re wanting to follow the general principles of an Alkaline diet, I can tell you from personal experience that you’d be wasting your time if you weren’t taking a Barley Grass supplement.

I first started taking Barley Grass Powder (a tablespoon in water every morning) because it sounded so wonderful at the time, yet I did little else to change anything in my diet (junk food, soft-drink, you name it!) – but somehow, I still managed to lose 7kg (15 pounds) of body weight in four months without trying!  I can’t say it was only the Barley Grass, but I am sure it made a huge difference.

  • Vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, B12, C, E, K and Biotin, Choline, Folic acid, Niacin and Pantothenic acid.
  • The quality of Beta carotene twice the amount found in Carrots
  • Major minerals from Boron to Zinc, as well as 50 trace minerals as well
  • Very high in Magnesium (since this is a part of Cholorphyll which is abundant in it)
  • Sixteen identified enzymes, recognised as being good for digestive health

What are Barley Grass benefits?

For me, Barley Grass Powder when taken first thing in the morning, has definitely aided in some weight loss and I have also found it remarkable for reducing hunger throughout the day.

I presume that since Barley Grass is so rich in nutrients, my body receives a good “feed” first thing in the morning, and this seems to set me up for the rest of the day.  It’s effects on my body have been so ridiculous that at times I “forget” to eat – and on one occasion realised I had not eaten for five (5) hours during the day and still didn’t feel hungry.

What are Barley Grass side effects?

The only side effect of Barley Grass that I have encountered has been green coloured faeces.  This presumably is due to taking it first thing in the morning, and the fact that as a very fine Powdered supplement, it effectively coats the inside of my intestines.  It certainly has helped me with constipation (when I was eating a poor diet previously) and so this is a positive side effect.

I have not encountered any negative side effects, but this isn’t to say it wouldn’t for someone else.

It is always advisable to consult your Doctor before changing your diet, to ensure that you are in good health and that taking an additional Supplement like Barley Grass Powder will not be detrimental to your health.
