Day Forty-Nine!
Fat Guys Don’t Drive Porsches
Have you ever noticed that many of the most successful people in life are also physically fit and healthy? Surely this isn’t a coincidence.
While attending a Conference over the weekend, I took note of a couple of things mentioned by some great Business Leaders in my Industry; and some of what they spoke about applies just as readily to personal health as it does in business success.
“Lock In The Win” – James Schramko
This is a great concept, and one that many people skip over in life.
Lock In The Win means that each time you have a success in life – no matter how big or small (but hopefully you start small and they get bigger) – you stop and take time to Celebrate and Acknowledge how good it feels to have a Win.
Lock In The Win, because it will make you more hungry for the next one. Success begets Success.
As I move now beyond the half way mark in the 84 Day Body Challenge, I’m learning that success is all about these very small wins. That next tick on the Checklist… That next lost kilogram… That next Healthy Snack… That next session in the Gym… They’re all small wins and they all lead to ultimate success.
Pretty soon I won’t be a Fat Guy anymore, so don’t be surprised if you see me driving a Porsche!
Exercise Log
As I was attending a Conference all day, again it was very difficult to get the time to dedicate to exercise, but I did some stair climbs throughout the day although my Left Knee now is quite sore and I’ve been to the Doctor and had an X-Ray to make sure I’m completely on top of it – I’ll know more tomorrow.
What did I eat on Day 49?
- Breakfast – Turkey Breast on Wholegrain Toast w/ABC (Almond Brazil Cashew) Spread
- Snack – Apple & 15 Almonds
- Lunch – Subway Salad w/Wholemeal Roll (a plain six-inch subway roll)
- Snack – Protein Shake
- Before Dinner – Glass of Red Wine (in hindsight I should have not had this, it was at a Bar after the Conference I had been attending all weekend)
- Dinner – Lean Steak w/Spinach Leaves, Capsicum, Mushroom & Egg
- And Supplements as usual
Until tomorrow, stay ON it!
