What is the 84 Day Body Challenge?
The 84 Day Body Challenge was created by Matt Thom and Monica Wright. Together, they wrote an inspiring book called “Change your Body” as well as the “84 Day Body Challenge – Action Manual” – essential reading if you want to successfully participate in the challenge.
The 84 Day Body Challenge consists essentially of the following things:
6 Day Preparation Plan
This involves 15 steps that include things like:
- Reading the Change Your Body book
- Seeing a Doctor
- Signing a commitment contract
- Visualising how you want to look and Goal Setting
- Cleaning out the Fridge and Cupboards at home!

14 Day Food Challenge (Detox)
This is the first 14 Days of the 84 Days that make up the Challenge, and it is called the “Food Challenge”, because it involves restricting some things like Coffee, Sugar and other items and the goal here is to eat “clean” for the entire 14 day period. This is an exercise in self-control as well as an opportunity for the body to cleanse itself of toxins.
70 Day Plan
The last 70 days are all about moderation, eating clean 6 out of 7 days (and not over indulging on the day off), exercising hard, all with the intention of changing your body forever and learning some healthy habits.
